Most rooms are a box with a bed in it. This one is a room you look up in.
Two levels, one room
The lower level is not a normal ceiling height. It runs the full height of the building, open to the black steel trusses and the tile above them, which is the thing you notice from the doorway and keep noticing. A king bed sits against fluted teak panelling, with a sofa at the window, a marble television wall, a desk, and a console carrying a kettle and a fridge.
A timber staircase with turned balusters — a real staircase, with a handrail, not a loft ladder — goes up to a mezzanine that looks back down over the room. The second bed is up there behind the balustrade. Four people sleep here without anybody drawing the short straw.
About that
private pool
Let us be straight with you, because “private pool” can mean almost anything. Ours is a plunge pool: roughly three metres by two and a half, granite coping, a stainless ladder, a brick-paved deck around it, and a timber screen with potted planting along one side.
You cannot swim lengths in it. You can sit in it at the end of a hot day with a drink on the coping and nobody else within sight of you, which is a different and in some ways better thing. It is walled on every side. It is yours for as long as you are here.
If what you actually want is to swim, the main pool is a two-minute walk and already included in your rate.

How big is the private pool, really?
About three metres by two and a half — a plunge pool, not a lap pool. It is deep enough to stand in and sit in, it is walled on every side with a timber screen so nobody can see in, and it is yours alone. If you want to swim properly, the main pool is a short walk and included in your rate. We would rather tell you the size now than have you arrive expecting something else.
Why is the GST 18% when the other rooms are 5%?
Because the tariff crosses the threshold where the higher rate applies. It is not a charge we add — but it does mean ₹8,000 becomes ₹9,440, so we show both numbers rather than the smaller one on its own.
Can four adults sleep comfortably?
Yes. A king on the lower level and a second bed on the mezzanine, with a full staircase between them rather than a ladder. An extra bed is ₹1,500 a night if you need a fifth.
Is it really the only one?
Yes. One duplex out of fifty-five keys. On weekends and through the wedding season it goes first, so if your dates are fixed it is worth asking early.
Is the mezzanine safe for children?
It has a full timber balustrade and a proper staircase with a handrail. That said, it is an open mezzanine over a double-height room — for very young children we would suggest the villas instead, and we would rather say so.
Is breakfast included for all four?
Yes, for everyone staying in the duplex, every morning, at no extra cost.
Does the rate change at the weekend?
No. The same rate every day of the week on our own booking.
How far is the airport?
Twenty-five minutes from Kempegowda International Airport. Pickup and drop can be arranged on request.
